Understanding participation expectations and benefits

Participation Expectations

Participating school systems are expected to, twice per year:

  • Complete one C-suite self-assessment (approximately 5 mins in duration)
  • Have staff complete a 4-closed-ended-question pulse survey (approximately 30 seconds in duration)
  • Have students complete an anonymous 4-closed-ended-question pulse survey (approximately 30 seconds in duration)

  • Triangulate data across student perspective, staff perspective, and leadership self-assessment
  • Contextualize performance and progress versus national norms
  • Identify top-performing systems across all AI Innovation Index metrics
  • Access resources and artifacts aligned to AI Innovation Index metrics
  • Identify where to access program supports aligned to AI Innovation Index metrics

Our Privacy Commitments

COPPA:

We do not collect any student PII: No names, emails, student IDs, IP addresses, device IDs, cookies, or other persistent identifiers are collected. There are no free-text responses; surveys exclusively include closed-ended responses.

PPRA:

Our four questions do not touch any of PPRA's eight protected topics (e.g., politics, sex behavior, religion).

FERPA:

We do not receive education records or student PII.

Security:

Our platform is designed in alignment with the NIST Privacy Framework. We do not sell or rent personal information and do not ‘share’ it for cross-context advertising. We only use essential security cookies. No third-party tags or analytics on Student Endpoints. No cross-site tracking or advertising anywhere. Aggregate and system-level analytics are shared via a participant portal only and not on the public web.
